Looking at Kea’s portfolio of tattoos you can see a truly amazing body of work, especially for an artist who has only been tattooing for 3 years! In that short space of time he has built up a portfolio of many different tattoo styles (traditional thai; sak yant tattoo designs, biomech tattoo, Japanese style, Asian style tattoo, portrait tattoo, horror, old school, new skool, cartoon style). However above all else Kea prides himself on his colour tattoo work, and rightly so, it is very good. His tattoo studio looks clean and well prepared, with many different types of tattoo ink in stock and also a selection of body piercing jewellery, so if you find yourself in Bangkok needing a replacement body piercing bar or ring he might be the right person to see. His tattoo studio is located in the Sathon area, why not see him for an appointment today. His English is ok, but it’s better if you bring some who speaks Thai or some pictures of your proposed tattoo design.

Kea owns and works at Kea-tattoo studio based in Sathorn Bangkok, He has been tattooing for 3 years at time of writing this. Tattoo Thailand has the pleasure of meeting him at the Nakhon Unite Vol.6 Hardcore and Metal festival in Bangkok 2011. There were 10 “new wave” Thai tattoo artists competing for number one prize. Kea’s doesn’t specify a particular tattoo style as his favourite, his speciality is colour tattoos, so whichever styles he works in as long as it contains colour in the tattoo design he is happy. Philosophically speaking Kea says…

“Having tattoos does not mean that you are a bad person or have done time in jail, they (tattoos) are beautiful…
Sometimes people who have no tattoos at all can be the really bad ones, so you shouldn’t worry about having tattoos nowadays…”

A point well made. Tattoo art is open to anyone who desires them, it is the eyes that perceive it with judgement that bring it a bad reputation. Although some stigma relating tattoos and body modification exists certainly it’s getting more acceptable to have them over time.
